The next innovation tender is scheduled for September 1, with a nearly identical procurement volume of 485.713 MW. The onshore wind
The German Federal Network Agency (Bundesnetzagentur) received bids totaling over 2 GW in its latest innovation tender, which is open to renewable energy projects incorporating storage systems, among others. The awarded tariffs for combined photovoltaic and storage projects ranged from €0.0500 to €0.0639 per kWh.

As has been the case in many of Germany's recent solar PV auctions, the Innovation Tender ended up oversubscribed, with 154 bids made for 1.8GW of capacity out of 583MW tendered capacity.
To start tapping more into the potential of solar energy, both in the private and the public sector, the SolarZentrum (solar centre) Berlin was opened in May 2019. It is a component of the “Masterplan Solarcity”, which works as an independent advisory centre on the topic of solar energy (SolarZentrum Berlin, only in German).
The conditions for tax exemption apply if the system's capacity does not exceed 30kWp. The zero VAT rate has been in effect since January 1, 2023. So far, solar power has accounted for less than one percent of the total generated power in Berlin (Berliner Morgenpost 2022).
